To celebrate our third anniversary this year, we took a 4 day trip to South Padre Island on the Texas coast. We had not been to the Texas beach before, so it was a fun experience. South Padre is a little under 6 hours from us, so it was a very pleasant car ride. We didn't have much planned for our long weekend, which was nice! Our hotel was right on the beach so we could hop from the pool to the beach often, which was great! The ocean was a fabulous cool temperature, while the pool was more like bath water! Also, the Gulf has fantastic waves and few shells or seaweed - which made walking and playing on the beach all the more fun! Jay played golf on Father's Day and I rode along in the cart. It was a beautiful course, but by the back 9 we were fried from the heat! Here are some picture highlights:
