Many of you know that our cat Smokie is quite the talker and the diva of the house. We were afraid what would happen when we brought Madison home, as Smokie gets upset with anything loud (talking, crying, laughing, etc). Well, much to our surprise, the maternal instinct has kicked in for her too and she is a changed feline!! It is simply amazing. Wherever Madison is, there Smokie is also. She comes running when Maddie is crying and follows us back to the nursery to make sure everything is okay. If we're sitting in the rocker, Smokie perches her two front feet on the edge until the crying dies down. And, she hardly makes a peep around the house.
