4th of July

To celebrate the 4th of July, we headed to a little town about 50 minutes away.  The little town of Seguin is known for the "Biggest Small Town 4th of July Parade in Texas".  We were all about it, considering the parades we've seen in years past were nothing like what we're used to in Ohio.  And boy did it hold up to it's name.....1 hour and 45 minutes of parade was pretty impressive!  They only had 1 marching band, which was a bit disappointing, but many other highlights below - including lots of hoopty cars with big rims that we don't have pictures of.  Madison did great - although she was more interested in her stroller and things right around her than she was looking out at the parade.  We met some wonderful people who owned the shop we were sitting in front of.  They let me take Maddie inside from time to time to cool off - which was awesome.  They chatted with us the whole morning and told us next year be sure to come back and park in the back as a VIP guest to enjoy the parade!  Now that's some Southern Hospitality! :)

Beginning of the parade - before anyone was sweating!
She LOVES tubes/bottles of anything - especially the sunscreen
Notice the Texas flag is a little higher than the American flag - the only state in the Union where THAT's legal.  Figures.  Go big in Texas or you know the rest - go home.
Staying hydrated
This one's for you Morgan - real Longhorn champion steers in the parade.

They were huge!

Post parade and post nap swim! :)  What a fun day!
