Jay did not have to work yesterday morning, so we took full advantage! As soon as Maddie woke up we went here for yummy banana pecan pancakes! Well, Maddie had rice cereal and fruit, but mom & dad enjoyed the pancakes. We then went to see one of Jay's customers who works at Whole Foods - I love that store! Oh my gosh, could spend hours in there! We did manage to enjoy looking around and came home with a free bag of yummy Texas peaches. After Maddie's nap, we took in a free Gymboree class. This was so fun! For those of you not familiar, Gymboree is a baby/toddler gym with classes designed to promote social interaction, sensory discovery, and music. We played with balls, crawled all over mats, played with lots of bubbles, sang songs, and went under the parachute. We have quite the socialite, in case it wasn't already obvious. The minute we sat down on the mat, Maddie was crawling around to all the other kids gibbering and saying 'hello'. She'd look back every now and then to see that we were still there, but otherwise totally content exploring on her own! It was really fun to do an activity totally focused around her! She was exhausted by the end - during the goodbye song, she was rubbing her eyes and sucking her thumb! We made it home for a nap, but she did fall asleep briefly in the car. The last picture is her just waking up in her carseat and ready to get in the bed! She was so dazed, it was cracking us up!
The other few pics are some cute shots of her around the house yesterday. She still loves the cat and does whatever she can to be close enough to play with her. Smokie isn't so keen on this, but she does come by and let Maddie pet her from time to time. :)
